So, how's the Market?

An epic Arctic blast firmly hit the pause button in the middle of February, however the market held up with only minor setbacks. Despite taking a week off to make snow angels and the first in a likely series of mortgage rate bumps, homes sales increased for their 9th consecutive month in Houston.

Luxury home sales saw the largest jump, a whopping 65% increase since February of 2020. Perhaps not surprisingly, the average single-family home price reached a new record, at roughly $350,000.

Rates have now surpassed the 3% mark, a place they haven’t been since July 2020, and they will likely continue to climb. To all my soon-to-be home shoppers out there: Don’t miss the boat!
